As we d...Right on with the build vs. buy conundrum! As we do deeper dives into what we require from our healthcare systems, it becomes clear that built functionality will play a larger role than it did in the past. Vendor products can't do it all unless we are willing to fork-lift most everything in favor of a single product. This is prohibitive for a couple reasons; cost not the least of them. Organizational capacity for change and also fork-lifting clinical process are problematic. Emerging industry standards and the ARRA push make it easier to do some built functionality. The trick is making the built work well with the foundational bought.Jeffrey Marshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07700857922049936245noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2072095272875222690.post-73964044986115352172009-02-23T05:45:00.000-08:002009-02-23T05:45:00.000-08:00The chicken coop is a work in progress. Next step is to knock the frames together and start building the hen house. After that it's the roof and kids door. I'm taking pictures as I go. Not surprising - these technologies are clearly those which seem OBVIOUS to a real techie but most people will be late adopters. Isn't it frustrating to be a techie sometimes? Alternately, I am trying to bridge the gap and help our boss develop a blog. As a late adopter, I remain dubious about its usefulness and how many visits the site will get. Does he have the stamina to write regularly and make it interesting? (He says he does). Will people come? That is the question. Ask me in 6 months.Stacyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12281211664309407375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2072095272875222690.post-50356785994168623292008-12-13T07:38:00.000-08:002008-12-13T07:38:00.000-08:00Isn't that as true with a solution like Epic?
